Workshops at the Northwest Chocolate Festival

Edward Anderton

Edward Anderton, a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania and a former project manager at Microsoft, is currently the cofounder and managing director at Scarlata Chocolate in Seattle, Washington. In this role, Edward Anderton manages all of the day to day operations of the organization and works toward creative exploration of new markets. Since 2012, Scarlata Chocolate has created decadent artisan dark chocolates made from ingredients that are gluten free, fairly traded, and organic. The online chocolate boutique participates in a number of popular events throughout the year, including the Northwest Chocolate Festival.

The Northwest Chocolate Festival is scheduled for November 11-12 at Pier 91 at the Smith Cove Cruise Terminal in Seattle, Washington. The show is billed as the top venue for experiencing artisan chocolate in North America and features a multitude of workshops, speakers, and exhibitors.
Scores of workshops are included in the purchase price of a ticket to the Northwest Chocolate Festival. Cumulatively, the workshops form the largest chocolate education program in the world. Taught by professionals within their specific fields, they take place on seven different stages where participants can watch live cooking demos, explore chocolate tasting, learn about the science and processes behind making chocolate, and experience delicious pairings of chocolate with wine and spirits. There are also topics for chocolate professionals who wish to hone their skills. The Northwest Chocolate Festival easily proves itself as a place where chocolate lovers can unite around a common, and delicious, passion.
